Empowering Communities Through Academic Partnerships: Lessons from the Dareda Solar Cooker Initiative

MEMA Organisation would like to express its sincere gratitude to the University of HASSELT (Belgium), University of Lubumbashi, Congo DRC, Ardhi University (Tanzania) for their participation in the Solar Cookers Workshops in Dareda vtc.

IMPORTANCE AND BENEFITS OF THE PARTNERSHIP.

1. The Dareda community has benefited greatly economically, socially, and materially, especially commercially, by building a relationship with these visitors.
2. Those in need have received funding to receive solar cookers produced with the funding of the University of Hasselt from Belgium, in collaboration with the University of Lubumbashi and Ardhi University of Tanzania.
3. MEMA Organisation has continued to advertise itself nationally and internationally so that it can reach many Tanzanians, especially those living in low-income areas, such as the disabled, women, youth, and the elderly.
4. This project has helped reduce the impact of environmental degradation by 70 per cent for the few residents of Dareda.
