MEMA stands for Mazingira, Elimu, Maji, na Afya it is a registered non-profit association that represents the voluntary provision of education on environmental protection, safe and clean water campaigns to people in need like kids and students, personal hygiene and the like. It had an origin in Tanzania particularly Manyara Region in Babati District.

 

MISSION

– Preserving the natural system on which all life depends, inspiring lifelong learning to strengthen children’s skills and technical abilities, and bringing clean and safe drinking water to children within a conducive environment.

 

VISSION 

– The nature conservancy to leave a sustainable world for future generations, a world in which every child attains the right to excellent education, survival protection, development and participation in every aspect pertaining to their rights and needs.

 

OBJECTIVES OF MEMA

• MEMA promotes child developmental process by insuring that all are treated fairly equal regardless of their race,colour,sex and status because in our view the future of kids are in their own hands for the long duration of time.
• To develop an educational and professional system in Manyara region specifically schools like Nambis Secondary School, Nahhsey Primary School,Qameyu Secondary School, Endaw Primary School, Umagi Secondary School, Madunga Girls Secondary School, Dareda vtc, just to mention few.
• To provide education of environmental conservation to students at school,
• And to implement projects providing infrastructure and safe and clean water in the regions
• To donate durable and washable pads for school girls
• Encouraging community to adhere personal hygiene to have better health at large
• To promote partnership between people of different regions to become cooperative in building acceptable future generation
• MEMA sponsor practical activities with opportunities of involving oneself by teaching individual especially girls on sewing pads and diapers, this gives opportunities to become self-employed individuals with bright future ahead.
• MEMA will provide education of effect of environmental pollution and destruction like burning of forest, excessive use of charcoal, old usage wood fire, through introducing wood saving technology, solar cookers.

By doing all these initiatives, we emphasize and wish people of these region to accept responsibility for the betterment of their own society and a nation in general
